Jaco has been working at Kolmer since 1997. He started in sales and has been co-owner since 2008. Despite a background in logistics, his heart is in sales as Jaco is a true entrepreneur. “Anything goes for the customer, I like to sell the best solution. Then we just make sure everything is taken care of. The basis is a motor but thanks to all the loose parts (Kolmer Lego) Kolmer can assemble special motors that are a perfect fit. We’re so much more than just a motor supplier.” When Jaco started at Kolmer, he knew little about electric motors. After working in this discipline for so many years, however, his head is bursting with ideas. Jaco thinks in terms of possibilities and in terms of his plans he is often a few years ahead of the rest. There’s a wonderful product programme under development that provides insight into the possibilities Kolmer has to offer.

As a real trader Jaco enjoys commercial success. It doesn’t have to be attributed to him as you do it together. “I’d rather have our people succeed than me. When they conclude a great sale, I’m really very proud. Young people who are enthusiastic and want to move forward, I enjoy that. It’s great to see people taking responsibility and tackling issues.” A reliable, somewhat chaotic, direct colleague, that’s Jaco. Someone in whom people quickly place their trust. “I always fulfil my promises, for 100%. Kolmer is a beautiful, healthy company where we have already achieved a lot through hard work. I see countless opportunities in the market and look forward to many more great years!” Jaco lives with his wife and three children on the outskirts of Putten, where he spent ten years refurbishing his house, garden and workshop. Here, his enterprising children work on joint projects. “I enjoy working together with my children.”
