Using an (electric) winch, heavy weights can be moved in a controlled manner. In shipping, on board a ship, there are always a number of winches to operate the anchor. Cranes lifting weights also make use of (hoist) winches. Even in a windmill small winches are used for service purposes, such as hoisting tools or an electric winch to supply the mechanic with parts.

Always a solution for your winch

From small 0.75kW winches for hoisting a few hundred kilos to large offshore winches with electric motors of more than 250kW, we will always come up with a solution. The conditions on board a ship are often a challenge for the electrical parts of the anchor winch. Water and electricity simply do not go together. A high protection class must therefore be guaranteed for electric motors for winches.

Especially if the winches are equipped with encoders used for feedback from the operating system. These encoders are also often in play when the electric motors are equipped with a brake. The winches can then be stopped at any time. The brake also holds the load.

Almost every winch can be modified on request. Specific solutions and versions of a winch do not pose a problem for us. Where the operation is concerned, anything you can think of is possible. In order to find the right electric motors for winches, for an electric hoist or an electric construction winch for example, we start in the workshop. Kolmer Electric Motors has a very well-equipped workshop, which enables us to offer a wide range of modification options for electric motors.

In our workshop we will prepare a prototype based on your specific requirements. We then test this prototype. The test phase allows for any necessary changes. After we have fully tested the prototype, we will commission our factory in Poland to produce the electric winch motors. In other words, you will be totally involved in the development of the product.
