We find it important that students are given the opportunity to become acquainted with both the theory and practice of electric motors, that they can learn about it and experience it enabling them to work in accordance with the latest technical trends and developments.

It is important that supply and demand are matched, so that the business world and the world of education complement each other well. Kolmer Electric Motors is affiliated with Platform Techniek Harderwijk, a technology platform in Harderwijk. The leading platform where businesses and schools talk to each other.

We are also active in the field of education within branch organisation FEDA. In collaboration with a number of other companies, we have compiled a Leergang Elektromotoren (a course in electric motors). This is a good, practical and up-to-date course used for motor technology programmes, among others. The goal here is to gain insight into the world of modern and most commonly used industrial electric motors and drive systems. This insight is necessary to deal with these types of products in a responsible and practical way. The book is full of practical examples and applications.

In addition, we are a recognised training company and offer traineeships to students.

Kolmer Electric Motors & Education

In close collaboration with the technical comprehensive school, the Jacob Fruytier College in Apeldoorn, we have created a completely new test environment. This represents the best way for students to get in touch with the latest technology and to prepare them for practice.

The test environment includes a standard on/off control, star/triangle switch and two speed motor. These starting methods are currently being replaced with the soft starter and frequency converter. This means that the students will become acquainted with old and new techniques and learn about the advantages and disadvantages of both.
