From assembler to department manager; Theo started his career at Phillips. He transferred to Kolmer in 1998. Changing from fifteen hundred to fifteen colleagues proved quite the culture shock. By now he has become a valued member of the Kolmer family. Theo is a real people manager who finds pleasure in work important. “We have a really nice team. They work hard but also laugh a lot. My main goal is that everyone can do their job with pleasure and that everything runs smoothly where the business aspect is concerned. I enjoy taking care of my team in combination with the hectic pace and solving problems you run into. The workshop really feels like my own home turf and my responsibility.” Every working day is different for Theo. One phone call from a customer can totally disrupt the planning. Theo is also involved in all kinds of projects, such as a small alteration to the workshop or maintenance of the machinery.

The oil that makes the workshop run smoothly, that’s Theo for you. A valued colleague who will always help others. He lives in Hilversum with his wife and two sons. In his spare time he likes to potter around in and around the house. He enjoys tinkering with his ‘Old Timer’ and old bike and taking the occasional ride. “Kolmer is just a super nice company where you’re given space and freedom. If you do your job well, there are so many possibilities.”
