A new General Director at Kolmer Elektromotoren

Kolmer Elektromotoren received extra support: on January 1st, Martijn Stoffelsen joined the management team. In his new role as General Director, he will secure company strategies while at the same time allowing the current directing members to focus on sales and the establishment of new business. The main goal of Mr. Stoffelsen’s position is to efficiently oversee growth at Kolmer.

The current board of directors consists of Commercial Director Jerry Spanhaak, and Financial Director Jaco Zegers. With the arrival of a new General Director, Mr. Spanhaak and Mr. Zegers will be free to focus their time on their specific areas of expertise. Mr. Spanhaak will be dedicated to sales while Mr. Zegers will concentrate on product development. Together, this team will work to create and implement new ideas and solutions as well as to strengthen business relationships with current and prospective customers. The core of Kolmer however, will remain the same. As Mr. Spanhaak states: “At our centre, we will continue to be a company that focuses on our customer relationships, delivering quality products that meet the needs of the customer. This will remain our strength.”

Building connections

The newest board member, Martijn Stoffelsen, worked twenty-one years at the Rabobank in several different functions, including branch manager, when he was asked by Jaco Zegers to join Kolmer’s team. Mr Stoffelsen says, “I find it courageous and an excellent testimony to the vision of Mr. Spanhaak and Mr. Zegers that they are willing to step back and refocus within the company on departments where their passions lie. This gives me as a non-technical person a chance to look at Kolmer through different eyes, overseeing changes and advancements in my areas of expertise: streamlining processes as well as connection building – for example, with government officials and larger foreign businesses. It will be a beautiful step for our team.”
